KINGSTON – Ulster County will hold three more free home test kit distribution events at Cantine Field in Saugerties on Friday, January 28, from 3-5 p.m., at Highland High School in Highland on Monday, January 31, from 4 p.m. -6 p.m., and at Ellenville High School in Ellenville on Thursday, February 3, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Each event will have 2,000 home testing kits available to county residents, with one kit per car.

“Our first two distribution events allowed us to deliver more than 50,000 home COVID-19 test kits to the community at a time when it is essential to make informed decisions to protect our families,” said the director of the County, Pat Ryan. “As we see the number of positive cases finally starting to come down, we know that testing, mask-wearing and booster vaccinations help keep our community safe and our schools and businesses open. .”

“Through the distribution of test kits, masks and communication with the public, Ulster County has continued to work proactively to mitigate the most recent surge in COVID-19 cases,” said the chair of County Legislature, Tracey Bartels. “By working together at all levels of government, we are keeping our communities safe and our schools and businesses open.”

Residents are encouraged to contact their municipality for details on how to obtain test kits.
